dan deacon at the getty

there was one of those free shows at the getty last week friday... while drew joined the midnight ridazz with a bunch of friends, louie and i witnessed the "dan deacon experience"... it's basically just one dude with a bunch of electronic manipulators and 2 mics. he's one of the star punker party starters from the baltimore scene and he knows how to manipulate an audience just as well as he manipulates his table full of pedals & thingies.
there was a huge elaborate stage and lighting set-up that he didn't even use. brother reade used it later for a more mellow show.
you can see dan deacon footage here... it's gets really "cloverfield" from 1:05 - 3:35, so fast forward if you don't wanna get sick and throw up... at 5:09, his banter is hilarious as he goes into another crazily fast-paced, high-pitched tune.
