bikes, rain, beans ,rice,and funnel cake.........

so.....we all went to see DeerHoof , it was like crazy cool. they have a new guy EDWARD RODRIGUEZ on guitar, damn , he is so good . they sound super cool , i love them .

you would think thats cool for a weekend, but its not over. we rode the bikes to The eagle rock music fest, it rained , but it was well worth it . crystal antlers, abe vigoda, downtown union , mika miko and akasha,it was a great music weekend. we chilled with a ton of our friends and then practiced on sunday . i wish every weekend was like this.

blue rooster - 5 yrs old

the art supply store on vermont, blue rooster, turned 5 this weekend. they collaborated with the hair salon next door to create a "backyard" party in their parking lot. it was a well organized affair and great vibe. lots of different peeps from both retail spots, but also passers-by who were down for a great party with free booze, jamz, and a place to congregate, and just be.
tiki torches & paper laterns welcomed people in. louie and drew rode up with their fixie stylee. by the time i got there, party was already poppin' and micro-brew on tap was flowin. when the beer ran out, we opted for the green tea sake, which was delicioso. it was there where crate digger, joelquiz, informed us of plans for a miles approach vid he'd like to pen. even before hearing his informal proposal, we said an enthusiastic YES! we'll have that upcoming, but for now, some pix from the nite.

our pehrspace show this friday has been cancelled, and rescheduled for Sat, Oct 18th. playing are A.M. and the Muslims... can't wait! thanks pauline!

unfortunately, we won't be playing at the Cannibal Flower group art show on Sept 27th but it might be rescheduled for Nov... we'll keep ya in the loop

NEW SHOW @ FAIS DO DO
hey, that rhymed! We just added a show that is super soon, Monday, August 25th. This show is gonna be sik. Our friends, The Guppies, are playing and it looks like us 2 LA bands are playing hosts to out-of-towners, Karaocake (from france), ok vancouver ok (from canada) and role mach electric band (from canada). We go international... like the olympics... go world!

after a little dry spell, the miles approach is happy to announce that we have some live all ages shows to look forward to... the first is at trusty Tribal Cafe with a highly anticipated act from Magick Bitches.

the other is at fucking awesome Echo Curio... seriously, this is the one true place to book, play, and see shows. byob, the nicest people on earth, all ages, great community vibe, $5 donation, lively Sunset Blvd as your alternate entertainment, and location location location!

the miles approach is working on some new songs, so we especially look forward to playing them out live. there'll be some extensive sound/instrumentation changes and downward dog position changes. more info on the line-ups to come.
